Sustainability nexus in China’s forestation initiatives

This collection contains the datasets used in our published study ‘Sustainability nexus in China’s forestation initiatives’ in NEXUS journal.GCAM_filesContains the configuration files for running gcam.exe and the associated policy files that the configurations read to enforce scenario constraints. Outputs from each of the six scenarios (REF, NetZero, Afforest, DietShift, YieldUp, SusCrop) are generated here.Demeter_files– GCAM outputs: Projected land‐area data csv files for each scenario.– Input CSVs: Other input data required by Demeter (e.g., suitability, transfer priority, the 2015 land‐use harmonization grid used as the reference for downscaling).– Downscaled land‐cover results: High‐resolution maps produced by Demeter, ready for downstream ecosystem‐service modelling.scenariosInVEST_files– Crop Threat layers: Cropland threat rasters derived from the Demeter downscaling for each scenario.– Additional threats: Reprojected pressure maps (e.g., roads, urban areas) drawn from the 1:1 million China topographic database (2021).
