资源简介:
Dataset supporting the paper “Desiccation of the Red Sea basin at the start of the Messinian salinity crisis was followed by major erosion and reflooding from the Indian Ocean” (submitted to Communications Earth & Environment). It contains ⁸⁷Sr/⁸⁶Sr results and derived ages for Wells A and B, image files used in Figures 2–5, and ArcGIS shapefiles used to build map figures. Contents: Table 1_Sr data.xlsx: Sr isotope data used in Table 1 and Figure 1 of the paper. (Ages calculated from measured ⁸⁷Sr/⁸⁶Sr using linear regression to the McArthur & Howarth GTS2020 seawater curve.) Figure 2c: Core and macro images used for Figure 2 of the paper. Figure 3: Thin‑section images used for Figure 3 of the paper. Scale bar = 0.5 mm in each image. Figure 4: Well B and outcrop images used for Figure 4 of the paper. Figure 5: Seismic sections used for Figure 5 of the paper. Display: zero‑phase reverse polarity; vertical exaggeration = 4×. ArcGIS Shapefiles (map layers) used for the maps: mid ocean ridge axis (polyline)Oceanic Crust (polygon)Subsurface extent of Masiyah salt (polygon)Volcanic Vents (points)
