Inundation and flooding projections in the Greater Bay Area of China

This dataset contains inundation and flooding projection results for the Greater Bay Area (GBA) of China, along with the corresponding source and extended data. All data are provided in TIFF (.tif) and Shapefile (.shp) formats. This repository includes: Input data for inundation hazard modeling: VLM process: Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and InSAR-derived vertical land motion (VLM) rates SLR process: SWOT-derived average sea surface height (SSH) baseline, IPCC geocentric sea level rise (SLR) projections, and extreme sea level (ESL) projections Simulated inundation and flooding extents under relative sea level rise (RSLR) and extreme storm surge scenarios, including upper and lower bounds representing uncertainty ranges. Inundation extents under the simplified scenario (e.g., without considering near-shore variability in sea levels). Inundation extents under the protection scenario, along with the corresponding modified DEM and spatial distribution of added dike heights based on flood control standards. Spatial distribution of four socioeconomic indicators: population, built-up area, land use, and GDP.
