Global Diazotroph nifH qPCR Database

This nifH qPCR database was modified from the publicly available database published by Tang et al. (2019, Geophysical Research Letters, doi: 10.1029/2019GL084376) which includes the publicly available database compiled by Luo et al. (2012, Earth Systems Science Data, doi.org/10.5194/essd-4-47-2012). The database of Tang et al. (2019) was corrected by Mary R Gradoville (mgradovi@ucsc.edu) and Kendra Turk-Kubo (kturk@ucsc.edu) to account for several errors and modified to separate UCYN-A sublineages and to differentiate among data points which were undetected, detected but not quantified (given the nominal value of 1 nifH copy/L), and not determined. All abundances were determined using quantitative PCR. All information about sample collection and processing (including the primer/probe set used) are provided in the source studies listed in the References section.
