WGS Bighead Catfish Clarias macrocephalus Hi-C HIFI ONT Illumina

Airbreathing Catfishes, especially those in the family Clariidae, are vital to aquaculture in Asiaand Africa. However, until now, there has been a significant gap in their genomic resources. Thisstudy introduces the first high-quality chromosome-level male reference genome for a BroadheadCatfish (Clarias macrocephalus, fClaMac1) / Bighead catfish (Clarias macrocephalus, fClaMac1).The genome length of the fish fClaMac1was estimated from K-mer estimates to be around 821,673,140 base pairs. Nanopore Sequencingfrom Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) was estimated to reach (~36X) in genome coverage. HiFi(PacBio) library depth was estimated to reach (~12.9X) in genome coverage. Hi-C in situ Illuminalibrary was estimated to reach (~39.77X) in genome coverage.
