This project is to reveal the production of piRNAs associated with hybrid dysgenesis of natural strains in Drosophila melanogaster. The RNA-seq was performed using 20 hybrids having various ability to resist P transposable elements. Various levels of small RNA were obtained from their ovaries and embryos. These data support the different production of piRNAs from P transposable elements between natural strains. The amplicon-seq was performed using 4 lines of natural strains in Drosophila melanogaster. These PCR amplicon were contained vicinity sequence of P transposable elements to detect insertion site of P transposable elements. These data support insertion site of P transposable elements, including piRNA clusters which has activity to produce piRNAs
