Histoplasma capsulatum transcriptome grown on minimal glucose versus amino acids

To determine changes in gene expression in response to changes in carbon source, Histoplasma yeasts (strain G217B) were grown in minimal media containing glucose and ammonium sulfate as the sole carbon/nitrogen sources, a mixture of amino acids, as the carbon/nitrogen sources, or a 1:1 mixture of both medias.
