16S Metabarcoding of Australian stingless bee nests

16S amplicon data derived from nest materials of three species of Australian stingless bees (Meliponini). Provisions sampled include food, honey, pollen, and propolis from Austroplebia australis, Tetragonula carbonaria, and Tetragonula hockingsi. Materials were sampled between 2017 and 2019 from a site in Queensland, Australia. These samples can be used to examine differences in bacterial composition based on material type and bee species.
