Nonconverters exhibit differential transcriptional signatures compared to converters.

Here, we determined the transcriptional signature of the above groups of donor PBMCs after Mtb antigen ESAT-6 and CFP-10 stimulation. We obtained freshly isolated PBMCs from converters (n = 3) and nonconverters (n = 3) at baseline and during follow-up and cultured them in the presence and absence of ESAT-6 and CFP-10 for 48 h and the global gene expression pattern was determined using whole transcriptome sequencing.
