The Daily Life and Health Survey (VQS)

The Daily Life and Health survey was conducted between the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 among 170000 people living at home in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments. The results concerning the perceived state of health, the difficulties in carrying out the activities of daily life and the use of assistance, the distribution of people by autonomy group are thus compared to data on life expectancy, and the breakdown by previous socio-occupational category of pensioners. They make up the key results of the 2014 Daily Life and Health Survey – departmental results. The Daily Life and Health survey is the first part of the CARE survey on seniors, designed by DREES, conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) and supported by the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA).
