资源简介:
The Bolivian squirrel monkey (Saimiri boliviensis) is a species of New-World monkey native to the upper Amazon basin in Bolivia, western Brazil and eastern Peru. They are primarily tree-dwelling and are found in both native and plantation forests as well as some farmed areas near running water (from Wikipedia entry). This sample from a male adult was collected by Gregory K. Wilkerson from a captive breeding colony at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine in Bastrop, Texas. The sample was coordinated by Trygve Bakken, Rebecca Hodge, and Ed Lein at the Allen Institute for Brain Science to generate HiC scaffolding data for the mSaiBol1 reference genome for an Allen Institute motor cortex project and for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
