Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) in the GIS Environment: issues and applications for decision making using spatial criteria

Abstract: This is a bibliographical survey about the application of the AHP method in combination with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The review was carried out with articles published in the last 10 years related to the use of this method, under a qualitative approach. From the analysis of the 12 scientific categories described in this article, it was possible to point out the AHP method used with GIS as an effective tool for multicriteria analysis in different scenarios.
