This series consists of two volumes titled Permit Certificates, which are records of permits issued to employers enabling them to employ suitably qualified staff under their supervision, under section 68 sub-section 3(a) of the Medical Act 1928 Part II. These records date from Oct 1928-1963.The volumes entitled Permittees 1928-1931 and Register of Permits 1938 are control records for the previous volumes. The names of the employers are recorded alphabetically along with the number of the permit certificate that was issued.The volume entitled Permits Receipts 1928-1931 is a record of those who paid for their permits. Receipts are pasted into the book alphabetically.
