Cartografías corporales en tránsito: Deseo e insumisión en Néstor Perlongher

In Néstor Perlongher. Por una política sexual (2015), Javier Gasparri highlights certain aspects of Perlongher's writing, among them the gesture of "[...] arrebatar la hegemonía que ostenta la 'moral y las buenas costumbres' sobre la sexualidad, en complicidad con el Estado que las codifica y regula [...]". Thus, discussing sexual politics in Néstor Perlongher's work means exploring insubordinate paths. This analysis proposes a reading and discussion of some of the reflections developed by the Argentine writer, particularly in O Negócio do Michê: a prostituição viril na cidade de São Paulo (1987) and Prosa plebeya: ensayos (1980-1992). In these texts, the rebellious movements of his writing are revealed, through which the Argentine seeks to subvert the perverse mechanisms of domination and the capture of desire perpetrated by the State. The different ways in which desire is contained are analyzed, as well as the writer's attempts to chart a possible map of the various relationships that arise within the context of male prostitution.
