Replication data for: Effects of space allowance on behaviour, physiology, skin lesions and meat quality of pigs transported in an actively ventilated vehicle in the summer and winter

This project aims to investigate how space allowance affects airflow and pig stress during transportation in a low deck mechanically ventilated vehicle under summer conditions by assessing the microclimate conditions inside the trailer, the post-transport pigs’ behaviour in lairage, their physiological conditions at slaughter, and lastly their carcass and meat quality.
