Overview of metabolomics data from the EcoToxChip 2016 Large Scale Applied Research Project (LSARP). Document version 1.0

As part of the EcoToxChip project (2016-2023; www.ecotoxchip.ca), studies were conducted with three standard lab species used worldwide in testing (fathead minnow, <em>Xenopus laevis</em>, Japanese quail) and three native species of Commercial, Recreational and Aboriginal concern in Canada (rainbow trout, double-crested cormorant, northern leopard frog) in which early life stage (ELS) and/or adults of each species were exposed to eight chemicals of environmental concern (ethinylestradiol, benzo[<em>a</em>]pyrene, chlorpyrifos, fluoxetine, lead(II)nitrate, trenbolone, seleno-L-methionine, hexabromocyclododecane). From these exposures, targeted metabolomics analyses were performed to help increase understanding of biological responses and mechanisms of action. Such data were used to help guide the selection of the most relevant genes to be included on the EcoToxChips. All metabolomics analyses were carried out at SGS-AXYS’s dedicated metabolomics facilities utilizing multiple LC-MS/MS systems. All data were analyzed using MetaboAnalyst. Alongside this introductory report, all raw data files are included.
