Designing own experiment

We hypothesized that the abundance of insects varies related on the height of the plants. The taller the plants, the more insects will be present. The reason for this was because the plant height is related to the amount of rescoures it can provide to the insects (food, water, shelter). On two cloudy Tuesday afternoon, with temperature around 9 degrees celcius we were able to collect 40 sets of data from three different plant heights (unmowed, mowed and concrete) we saw that the results from our experiment confrimed with our hypothese. Unmowed grass clearly had more insects present, hiding under the leaves and the branches. While there were hardly any insects found on the concrete. Hence concludes that the height of the plants have a relationship with the abundance of insects present.
