Transcriptome analysis of pistachio flower buds undergoing progressive chilling accumulation

Flower buds of pistachio cv. Kerman exposed to progressively increasing levels of winter chill (45 chill portions [CPs], 50 CPs, 55 CPs, 60 CPs, 65 CPs, and 70 CPs) were used in the transcriptome analysis to evaluate gene expression changes in response to chilling accumulation. The flower buds were collected from three commercial orchards located in Kern County (Scroggs) and Kings County (Couture and Rose), California, during the 2018-2019 growing season.
