This project investigates the transcriptomic changes in Escherichia coli BL21 DE3 expressing Late Embryogenesis Abundant (LEA) peptides (LEAK), under acidic stress conditions (pH 4). RNA sequencing was performed on six samples, three expressing LEA peptides (LEAK 0.1mM IPTG) and three control samples(LEAK 0mM IPTG), to explore the molecular mechanisms involved in acid tolerance. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified in this study provide insight into stress responses, including metabolic pathways, transport mechanisms, and regulatory networks. This work aims to better understand bacterial adaptation to acidic environments, with potential applications in industrial microbiology, biotechnology, and pathogen resistance studies.
