Soil temperature and moisture records for the principal tundra vegetation types near Daring Lake, NWT, Canada in the low Arctic

To determine annual patterns of soil temperature and moisture in the major vegetation types (Tall Birch, Birch Hummock, Dry Heath, and Wet Sedge) in a low Arctic tundra valley close to Daring Lake (300 km north of Yellowknife, NWT).
