Molecular techniques, especially PCR by using genetic markers in the ITS regions of ribosomal DNA (rDNA), have been used for the identification of different species of trematodes. In Pakistan the prevalence of Paramphistoma species was reported in cattle from Punjab province and in goats from but no published report is available on genetic analysis of this parasite. The aim of the present study was molecular identification of Paramphistoma species collected from district Mardan, Pakistan.
