<p>This survey was sponsored by ABC News and conducted by Chilton Research Services. A national sample of 1,116 adults plus an oversample of blacks were interviewed April 25-May 5, 1996. Major topics covered: race relations; quality of life for blacks; prejudice; food stamps; public housing.</p>
