资源简介:
A number of fungi in the genus Fusarium incite economically significant plant diseases, including Fusarium head blight (FHB) of small grains. Fusarium cerealis (Cooke) Sacc. is globally distributed and able to parasitize staple crops including wheat, barley, corn and soybean. It produces nivalenol (NIV) and other harmful mycotoxins known to contaminate harvested grain. The genetic basis for pathogenicity and the biosynthetic pathways leading to toxin production in Fusarium spp. are relevant to plant pathologists, toxicologists, and the discovery of novel natural products.
