An older but greatly abridged Persian translation or rather adaptation of the same second volume of Ḳazwînî’s cosmography , the آثار البلاد, called here سبعة الاقاليم , and composed by ‘Alî Ṭâhirî (Ṭâ’irî in Rieu iii. p. 1059a), A.H. 928 (A.D. 1522), see fol.2b, ll. 9-11; fol.3a, l. 9; and fol. 196b, l. 1 (in Rieu, loc. cit., A.H. 948). Beginning: حمد بيحدّ صانعى را كه عجائب و غرائب عالم آثار ارقام قدرت اوست و منتهاى بى منتها الخ. The first Iḳlîm begins on fol. 4a; the second, on dol. 32b; the third, on fol. 53a; the fourth, on fol. 94a; the fifth, on fol. 144b; the sixth, on fol. 172a; the seventh, on fol. 187a, last line. A khâtimah or epilogue of the translator is found on fol. 194a, last line sq. Copied in the month Ramaḍân, A.H. 1056 (A.D. 1646, October, November), at Multân. No. 3138, ff. 196, ll. 15; very large and distinct Nasta’lîḳ; splendid binding in gold and green; size, 121/8 in. by 71/4 in.
