Soil suppressive for Fusarium oxysporum infection of onion.. Fusarium suppression

Characterization of soil microbiomes associated with suppression of vascular wilt disease of onions caused by the fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum. Bacterial and fungal populations were assessed by amplicon sequencing of DNA from bulk field soil samples from fields suppressive and conducive for disease, and from a pot experiment using these soils and a mixture of the two, in which suppressive activity was transferred to the conducive soil.
