Graduate Survey, 2017 - Half a Year After Graduation

Nordic Institute for Studies of innovation, research and education (NIFU) conducted the 'Candidate Survey 2017 - Six Months after Graduation,' a questionnaire survey that examined the transition from education to work among individuals who completed a master's degree in spring 2017. The survey, part of the semi-annual and special surveys, is conducted by NIFU every other year among recent graduates with a master's degree six months after graduation. It covers most groups of graduates with higher degrees from Norwegian educational institutions and provides valuable information about the labor market situation for recent graduates. Additionally, the survey aims to analyze how this situation changes over time, with a focus on changing economic conditions. Since 2007, the survey has also included questions about the candidates' evaluations of the education they have completed, the educational institution, and the extent to which they have found the program relevant to the needs of the labor market. With questions that have remained stable over time, the semi-annual surveys provide a reliable basis for generating time-series data that provide insights into both the labor market situation and the candidates' perceptions.
