①This dataset contains news and Weibo comments about online privacy from September 2011 to November 2019 on the Sina Weibo platform, crawled by the Octopus Collector. ②Only news with more than 10 comments will be included in our scope.
③These news are mainly about Internet companies collecting user privacy, social network privacy and other aspects, excluding news due to hacking, online scams, human flesh search and so on.
④These comments were searched on Weibo with news as the key word, and crawled the comments below the retrieved Weibo.
⑤The retrieval process is recorded in Chinese in index.xlsx, including classification, news title, start and end time, estimated number of comments, and search keywords.
