SETs Elkhorn Averages 2025
收藏资源简介:
In Elkhorn Slough, 8 "original" SETs were installed in 2006 and paired in 4 locations for monitoring “degrading” vs. “sustaining” marsh. There were no significant differences in the paired datasets and so we discontinued monitoring of one of the SETs at each pair in 2014. In 2016 we installed 5 new RSETs, a slightly modified design from the original that included deeper benchmark rods. We installed paired deep and shallow RSETs at these sites. 3 paired deep and shallow RSETs were installed at Hester Phase 1 in 2019 and a single deep RSET at Cowell Ranch in 2020. A single deep RSET was installed at Hester Phase 3 in 2025. For more information regarding SETs and accretion at Elkhorn Slough or in the NERRs, please visit: https://elkhornslough.org/reserve/research/field-based-monitoring-bank-erosion-and-marsh-elevations/ The values shown in the attribute table represent averaged annual readings, in mm, of the pin height of measured ground surface. The final column, "feld_mm_per_yr" is a slope intercept calculation in order to provide an annual rate of elevation change at each site.
