Lactobacillus hokkaidonensis is a novel species of the genus Lactobacillus isolated from timothy grass silage. This species shows remarkable psychrotolerance growing at as low as 4 degree C and has the potential for application as a starter culture for silage fermentation in the cold region. The purpose of this project is to understand the genomic characteristics of L. hokkaidonensis LOOC260 strain.
