Effects of disease risk on spleen and liver transcriptomic responses in domestic canaries - pilot study

The aim of this experiment was to gain knowledge on tissue-specific transcriptomic changes experienced by animals exposed to high disease risk Overall design: Canaries either observed infected canaries (Mycoplasma gallisepticum conjunctiva infection) (MG_OBS) or control canaries (CONT) for 5-6 days and then tissue (liver = liver; spleen = spl) was collected. Tissue was also collected from MG-infected animals (MG) for comparison. Tissue was preserved in RNAlater.
