To gain further insight into potential specific gene signatures expressed by pancreatic islet cells and pathogenic CD4+ T lymphocytes isolated from sublines of non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice expressing high or low autoimmune (type 1) diabetes incidence. Gene expression was measured in purified islets of Langerhans and CD4+ pathogenic T lymphocytes from non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice expressing high (NOD/NckH) or low (NOD/NckL) autoimmune (type 1) diabetes incidence. Five independent samples of each experimental tissue (pancreatic islets from 3 week/old mice), CD4+ pathogenic spleen T cells from 6 and 15 week/old mice) isolated from NOD/NckH or NOD/NckL male mice were analyzed.
