The dataset contains 3D images (dicom files) of human skin (epidermis and papillary dermis) acquired in vivo on 3 volunteers with an optical imaging method called LC-OCT: linefield optical coherence tomography. This method allows the visualization of skin structures at the microscopic scale: the lateral and axial resolutions are approximately 1 micrometer. The device (and software) used to acquire data is named deepLive and is marketed by the Damae Medical company (Paris, France). For complete information, please refer to the Readme.pdf file or to the associated articles. As mentioned in the Readme.pdf file, free softwares may be used to open (view) the dicom 3D images.
