Allopolyploid manipulation is an efficient technique to improve the low seeding rate of autotetraploid in plant breeding, and is one of the most promising breeding methods. However, there is little comprehensive research on the posttranscriptional mechanism of allopolyploid. Based on cultivated rice (Oryza sativa, genome AA) and wild rice (O. punctata, genome BB), hybrid rice with different ploidy (diploid F01 (AB), allotetraploid F02 (AABB) and F03 (AAAB)) were created. And genetic diversity in different ploidy hybrids rice and the mechanism of heteropolyploid hybrid breeding dominance were revealed through the single molecule real-time sequencing techniques. the study provides a new germplasm for polyploid rice breeding and reveals complex regulatory mechanisms that may be related to heterosis and fertility.
