Common Administration – Political Life: The Council of the CPAS shall govern everything within the competence of the Centre Public d’Action Sociale (CPAS), unless otherwise provided for in the law. Although the law lays down numerous provisions which fall exclusively within the competence of the Public Council for Social Action and which cannot therefore be delegated to another body of the CPAS. Composition < BR > The CPAS is administered by a Social Work Council composed of: — 9 members for a population not exceeding 15.000 inhabitants and inhabiting persons — 11 members for a population of 15.001-50.000 inhabitants and inhabiting persons — 13 members for a population of 50.001-150.000 inhabitants and inhabiting persons — 15 members for a population of more than 150.000 inhabitants and inhabiting persons The seats on the Social Welfare Council are divided into political groups in proportion to the number of seats each political group has on the municipal council following the last municipal elections. It should be noted that the functioning of the Council is governed by rules of procedure.
