Auntie Noey and Auntie Sa-at explains the natural dying methods for each colour. Green is made by mordanting yellow yarn with rust. Red and pink from lac. Brown is made by mordanting green with rust again. Light brown is dyed with paduak hardwood for the warp and weft.
