Crop rotation areas of the canton of Bern

The geoproduct shows the agricultural areas suitable for crop rotation (FFF) according to the cantonal inventory of the FFF. From a legal point of view, the inventory has the significance of a cantonal factual plan pursuant to Article 99(1) of the Baugesetz. The FFF comprises the agronomically particularly valuable part of the cultivated land, in advance arable land and artificial meadows in rotation as well as arable natural meadows. The following categories are distinguished: — “FFF eligible”: includes the minimum amount of FFF to be retained in accordance with the FFF FFF plan. — “FFF not eligible”: covers areas which are subject to the protection of the FFF in accordance with Article 8b of the Building Act, but which fulfil the criteria for FFF temporarily or not yet fully and cannot therefore be credited to the Federal FFF plan; this category includes, in particular, the temporarily different use of FFF in golf courses, the FFF currently used for intensive fruit construction, the registered but not yet legally binding compensation areas and the additional areas still unadjusted to the post-category FFF 2010. The dataset is suitable for displaying and interpreting in a scale of 1:10'000 and smaller. For larger scales, the basic and method-related blurs must be observed.
