资源简介:
Resistant gene transfer between bacteria from humans and animals is a current issue for responding to increasing risk of multi-drug resistant organisms. However, reports of genetic connection to antimicrobial resistance between humans and animals in clinical settings are still limited and especially rarer in case of interspecies horizontal transfer. Staphylococci was isolated from companions dogs and owners participated in the antimicrobial resistance surveillance study with consent and whole genome sequencing detected pT8G-like multiresistance plasmid in S. schleiferi, S. haemolyticus and S. epidermidis isolates from two dogs and one owner respectively. The dogs and owner were not paired and do not have pet-ownership. pT8G-like multiresistance plasmid had 4 antimicrobial resistance genes (aacA-aphD, aadD1, tetK, and lnuA) within copies of IS257. This result indicates pT8G-like multiresistance plasmid is currently circulating with the intimate genetic connection in companion dogs and owners group via various species of staphylococci. Therefore, pT8G-like multiresistance plasmid could be strong evidence supporting the importance of Onehealth approach to fighting against antimicrobial resistance.
