资源简介:

Repository scope and access statement This repository supports the study “Volumetric bone marrow cellularity assessment from routinely processed trephines using three-dimensional X-ray histology and Gaussian peak modelling.” The repository contains processed and derived data supporting the manuscript. It does not contain H&E whole-slide images or raw µCT projection data. The deposited XRH image data are provided as processed 16-bit datasets within an ORS Dragonfly session, together with rendered orthogonal views, Gaussian peak-fitting outputs, slice-wise cellularity measurements, manuscript figure source images and supporting documentation. The deposited XRH image data are provided as processed 16-bit datasets within an ORS Dragonfly session, together with rendered orthogonal views, Gaussian peak-fitting outputs, slice-wise cellularity measurements, manuscript figure source images and supporting documentation. The data derive from routinely processed clinical FFPE bone marrow trephine biopsy material used under appropriate research governance approvals. The deposited files are processed and de-identified. However, they originate from clinical material. Users are therefore responsible for ensuring that any secondary analysis, reuse or redistribution is consistent with their institutional ethics, information-governance and data-protection requirements. The deposited files are provided to support transparency, reproducibility and scholarly review of the associated manuscript and they should not be used outside the scope of appropriate research governance. Users intending secondary analysis are strongly encouraged to contact the corresponding author and should cite both this repository and the associated manuscript. Dataset overview Six routinely processed formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded bone-marrow trephine blocks were imaged using absorption-contrast X-ray computed microtomography-based X-ray histology at 6.0 µm isotropic voxel size. Volumetric bone marrow cellularity was defined as the red-marrow fraction of the soft-tissue compartment: VBMC = red marrow / (red marrow + intra-biopsy wax) Intra-biopsy paraffin occupying adipocyte spaces was used as the volumetric proxy for adipose/yellow marrow. Three-peak Gaussian modelling represented intra-biopsy wax, red marrow and demineralised trabecular matrix. Peak-height and area-under-the-curve estimates were compared with whole-volume 3D segmentation and clinical 2D cellularity. The three fitted Gaussian phases correspond to: Peak 1: intra-biopsy paraffin wax occupying adipocyte spaces; Peak 2: cellular red marrow; and Peak 3: demineralised trabecular collagen matrix.
