资源简介:

This archive contains the data, scripts and results of the research article "Mapping uncertainty in flood impacts: a multi-source assessment and catalogue of simulated, remotely sensed and reported floods in Europe" submitted to NHESS. Please before downloading or exploring the dataset read the companion paper as it explains the methodology used for its production and its limitations. Dataset use The results published in this archive and completely open and can freely be reused for non-commercial purposes by citing the authors. The purpose of the dataset is to allow further analyses concerning historical riverine floods in europe. For this reason this dataset contains the footprints of floods simulated through EFAS/LISFLOOD/LISFLOOD-FP and the footprints of all those simulated events that were also either observed by the Sentinel-1 constellation or reported in the HANZE dataset, or both. What follows is a more detailed description of the datasets Dataset description The dataset is organized in the following zip folders and files: Results Examples.zip Contains a small subset of the results present in other folders, can be used to view and assess the structure and the use of results environment_full.yml and environment.yml Are yml files to replicate the Python environment used for the realization of the study Results Simulation FLOPROS/P25/No Protections/GFM.xlsx These excel files are tables containing all the information of the original events, including their starting and ending dates, the location, the affected NUTS3 regions the total flooded area and the impacts divided by sector Each excel files contains the results obtained with the use of a protection setting, either FLOPROS, P25 or No Protections, while the GFM file refers to the observed events, clipped to hydrological basins Mapping uncertainty in flood impacts - Script.ipynb Is the Jupyter Notebook containing all the necessary code to replicate the results of the work and the plots Simulation FLOPROS/P25/No Protections.zip These zipped folders contain the .tif files with the flood extent and water depth for each simulated flood (with the given protection setting) and, for each event, also a .xlsx file reporting the impacts in terms of flooded area, affected population and damages by NUTS3 region Each folder contains also a In each folder are stored also 8 .dill files, these files contain a summary of the flood events and have been used in the prodution of the plots of the work The glofas_id_max_depth_list.dill file contains, for each flood, information concerning the river pixels causing the maximum water depth at each location and the Return Period of the maximum water depth The resolution of the .tif images is 100m and the crs is EPSG:27704 Each flood is named with the following naming convention: flooded_area_s1_s2, s3.tif s1: average date of the event s2: region where the centroid of the event falls s3: country where the centroid of the event falls The name of the flood is also the unique Identifier of the flood Data.zip Contains all the publicly available data used in the work, divided by type Data.zip does not contain the HANZE dataset and the GFM dataset, as those can be directly downloaded from their own sources. Links are reported in the article The Discharge.zip subfolder contains also daily and weekly discharges from EFAS v.5 and the ids of the river pixels The Flood Hazard.zip subfolder contains information regarding the influence areas of each river pixel, the hydrological basins, the flood protections and the ids of all the floodplain pixels The Sensitivity Analysis.zip contains the results of the sensitivity analysis Flood peaks.zip This folder contains 2 .dill files and 1 .nc file, the .nc file contains all the identified river flood pekas from 1992 to 2024, the .dill files are instead intermediate files used in the Python scripts Matched events.zip Contains all the .tif images and .xlsx files of the matched events between any combination of dataset and flood protections The .xlsx files are similar to the previous files, but here more information are provided, including which are the ids of the events that were matched and the ID of the matched events The .xlsx files are named starting with "_Matches between...", what comes after this first part reports the 2 or 3 datasets that have been matched In each subfolder (E.g. GFM Simulations and Hanze) the mosaics for each matched event are provided, from all data sources, the names of the files refer to the IDs reported in the respective .xlsx file Resolution and crs are the same as above In the outer folder there are also several .tif files which summarize the results and have been reported in various sections of the article related to this work For more information please do not hesitate to contact the Contact person
