The purpose of this study was to evaluate gene expression changes in the nasal epithelium of non-smoking human females following acute inhalation THS compared to harmless clean air. Four non-smoker females were first exposed to clean air for ~3 hours. At least 21 days later, the same individuals were exposed to THS using the same laboratory conditions. Nasal scrapes were collected before and after each exposure.
