VPRS 975 Outward Correspondence

This series comprises copies of outward correspondence sent from the Public Works Department. Initially the correspondence was handwritten in volumes. Later letter press copies of outward correspondence were bound in volumes.It is possible that the letters are cross-referenced to inward registered correspondence.There are a number of letter books from the Public Works Department in PRO custody. It is not known which part of the Department created the series although it is assumed to be the central registry.It is not known whether copies of outward correspondence were maintained after 1915.
