资源简介:
Science Case Name  Multi-hazards in the Caribbean SIDS Dataset Name/Title Flood hazard maps – Dominica, 2025 Dataset Description Flood depth maps made for all watersheds in Dominica for return periods of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 years and the flood extend maps for Tropical Storm Erika (2015) and Hurricane Maria (2017). Key Methodologies The flood maps were generated using the FastFlood tool (http://fastflood.org ) which makes use of global data sets (such as SoilGrids, WorldCover, ERA5, etc.).  Temporal Domain The maps are generated for the current situation (2025). Spatial Domain The maps cover 17 watersheds of the country of Dominica. Key variables/indicators Water height (all flood maps for watersheds) Maria_FloodHFMax.tif: (m). Maximum flow height of fluids, in meters relative to surface elevation. Maria_FloodHSMax.tif (m). Maximum flow height of solids, in meters relative to surface elevation. Note: this value does not have to occur simultaneously with the maximum fluid flow height, although it generally does. Maria_FloodQFMax.tif (m^3 s^(-1)). Maximum fluid flow discharge through a particular pixel (flow width is equal to cellsize = 10 meter). Value is taken at moment of maximum total flux (fluids + solids). Maria_FloodQSMax.tif (m^3 s^(-1)) Maximum solid flow discharge through a particular pixel (flow width is equal to cellsize = 10 meter). Value is taken at moment of maximum total flux (fluids + solids). Maria_FloodQWMax.tif (m^3 s^(-1)). Maximum wood flow discharge through a particular pixel (flow width is equal to cellsize = 10 meter). Value is taken at moment of maximum total flux (fluids + solids). Erika_Deposits.tif (m). Deposit depth of solid-fluid mixture, in meters, at the end of the simulation. Erika_FloodHFMax.tif (m). Depth of slope failure in meters. This value is the depth of the failure plane relative to the surface elevation (DEM). A depth value of 0 indicates no slope failures took place. Erika_FloodHSMax.tif (m). Maximum flow height of fluids, in meters relative to surface elevation. Erika_FloodQFMax.tif (m). Maximum flow height of solids, in meters relative to surface elevation. Note: this value does not have to occur simultaneously with the maximum fluid flow height, although it generally does. Erika_FloodQSMax.tif (m^3 s^(-1)) Maximum fluid flow discharge through a particular pixel (flow width is equal to cellsize = 10 meter). Value is taken at moment of maximum total flux (fluids + solids). Erika_FloodQWMax.tif (m^3 s^(-1)) Maximum solid flow discharge through a particular pixel (flow width is equal to cellsize = 10 meter). Value is taken at moment of maximum total flux (fluids + solids). Data format GeoTIF Source data Global data sets, except for the DEM (LiDARDEM) and historical rainfall. Accessibility Zenodo, 10.5281/zenodo.15180875 (Also accessible via http://fastflood.org/dominica) Limitations/Assumptions The maps can be modified for designing mitigation measures.  Additional Output/Information Users can modify the maps interactively.
