资源简介:
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most aggressive cancers, known for its poor survival outcomes. Cannabinoids have demonstrated anti-cancer activity in various cancers, including PDAC. The primary objective of this study was to investigate whether alterations in the bacterial component of the fecal microbiota and its associated metabolites bile acids (BAs), could indicate the development and progression of PDAC. The primary model utilized was the KRASWT/G12D/TP53WT/R172H/Pdx1-Cre+/+ (KPC) mice, a well-validated, clinically relevant model of PDAC. The dataset in this Bioproject represents the fecal bacterial profiles from KPC animals and the parental wild type C57. Fecal pellets were collected at different timepoints linked to the development of PDAC. Fecal pellets were also collected from KPC animals treated with different cannabinoid combinations. The faecal microbiota was profiled by targeting the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene.
