The Industrial Price Index (IPRI) operation provides a statistical measure of the cyclical evolution of the set of prices of industrial products in the first step of the marketing of products, excluding taxes. Both a general index and a sectoral price index are disseminated, only for the Basque Country. The index serves as a basis for the study and research of the most appropriate pricing policy in relation to sales redistribution; it is also used as a deflator in economic studies on the industrial sector; it is also used in the revision of prices of hiring.
