Single-cell RNA-Seq of fibroblasts derived from one patient with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Fibroblast appears to play a central role in the pathogenesis of IPF. We performed scRNA-seq of fibroblast from IPF patient, and evaluate its cell-cell interaction combined with the engrafted bronchial BCs. Our study reveals that engrafted BCs isolated from small bronchi can mediate anti-fibrotic effect by interacting with adjacent fibroblasts. Fibroblast profiles of 1 patient with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis were generated by deep sequencing, using BD Rhapsody Analysis pipeline (Version: 1.8).
