The system throughput and scheduling cost of the system under random request loads were tested in an edge-cloud simulation experimental environment. This dataset includes three CSV-format text files, namely the random request load dataset (request_result.csv), the system throughput dataset (throughput_rate.csv), and the scheduling cost dataset (cost.csv). The spatial scope of the experimental simulation environment covers 10 distributed edge nodes, 1 fog node for resource management, and 1 cloud computing cluster. In addition, its temporal range spans 2000 decision cycles.
