Soil sensitivity maps based on the soil estimate in scale 1: 5.000

The soil sensitivity maps based on the soil estimate were compiled according to the Saxon Soil Assessment Instrument as of 05/2022. For the first time, all approximately 754.000 soil estimation areas of the Free State of Saxony used for the assessment were subjected to a soil functional assessment. The evaluations in scale 1: 5,000 are based on the digitised soil estimation areas as of 12/2022. Successively, new knowledge levels of soil estimation are incorporated into the evaluations of soil functions, e.g. by means of over-evaluations. This information will be published with updates. The soil sensitivity cards contain four layers. These are: Erodability by water, sensitivity during drying, sensitivity to irrigation and sensitivity to substance inputs.
