Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1963, Omnibus no. 05

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1963 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1963. A total of 12 surveys were carried out in 1963, but omnibus no. 02 could not be located among the data materials received from the Roper Center. This data material contains information from omnibus no. 05. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1963 omnibuses are: degree of ur- banization; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in house- hold and composition of household; occupational status of head of household and of supporter; income of head of household and total income of family; education of respondent; occupational status of housewife; social group; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Summer holiday plans; the respondent's income in relation to the income of friends and acquaintances; assessment of which domestic political problems are most important at present; whether the respondent thinks that voters always vote for the same party or change party once in a while, and whether wives tend to vote for the same party as their husbands; how much time the respondent spent the previous evening watching TV, and how long the household has had a TV set; whether the respondent has been to the cinema within the last week; whether the respondent sometimes goes to football matches as a spectator or watches football on TV; and the respondent's attitude to the plans of stopping TV transmissions of football matches
