Drinking water quality of the Basque Country during 2007

The quality of drinking water in the Basque Country is closely monitored by the Department of Health of the Basque Government and by the owners of the supply systems through the control and surveillance units (UCVs). UCVs are the entities authorised by the Department of Health to develop and implement supply control and management programmes. These control programs include, in addition to water analysis, preventive and maintenance measures of the facilities.
