This review article explores the relationship between globalization, carbon emissions, and international trade, focusing on emission trading systems (ETS) to regulate greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2). It discusses the significance of carbon pricing, trade agreements, and global value chains (GVCs) in reducing emissions. Utilizing bibliometric analysis, it analyzes publications from Web of Science and Scopus databases, uncovering key research trends, author contributions, and international collaboration patterns in carbon emission trading.
